Country: | Excuse me if I am not following protocol here, but my HTPC is separate from my internet computer at the moment. I am using an external DVD player (Theatertek) and my MCE remote works fine with it but it also activates functions within MP at the same time. So I run the risk of activating things and deleting things in the MP interface without knowing it. I have the option for MP Interface Always on Top unchecked and it still does it. Could someone please advise me as to how to stop this? Thank you. Country: | I believe it is because mediaportal is listening for and acting on remote buttons even when not in focus. This is a desired functionality in some cases. For example, controlling music playback while mediaportal is minimized. The internal mce remote support doesn't seem to have the ability to change this, so you could try the mce replacement plugin or the more advanced ir server suite. Yes, I'm plugging my own software here, but big deal, it's free and it's designed for mediaportal. Maybe after 0.2.3.0 I will add an "Ignore when not in focus" option to the built in mce remote support. Cheers,

Country: | I think the ignore commands when not in focus would work really well too. I'll give your other recommendations a try. Thank you for such a quick reply! Last edited by alchemyst6; 2007-11-08 at 17:25. |
