ffdshow 20051221 doesn't work with DVD

I'd like to use latest ffdshow builds because there are features which don't work in older builds like 20041012. For example, older build doesn't have tray icons, and most importantly I can't get it to work with Avisynth scripts like LimitedSharpen, etc.

Later builds of ffdshow like 20051221 work great with Avisynth scripts and also work fine with AVI files ( XVID ) , but don't work with MP internal DVD player.

I used Graphedit to see the graph while playing DVD in MP. If I have 2004 build of ffdshow, it is connected between Dscaler and VMR9.
If I have 2005 build of ffdshow, it is on the graph, but not connected to anything, and Dscaler is connected directly to VMR9.

According to MP log, ffdshow is added to the graph and pins are connected. See below for 2 logs - good and bad.

If I try Zoom Player or MPC , it works with both 2004 and 2005 ffdshow builds.
I believe there is a bug in MP which doesn't activate later builds of ffdshow during DVD playback.

Can this be fixed? Please constructive feedback only. Don't tell me to use ZP or MPC as external player or go to old ffdshow build
