How to reset codecs in MP?

Could anybody help me with this:

I want a clean codec install, I removed all codecs (I had way to many) and did a reset before I installed any new codecs, but in the MP config there still are alot of codecs listed.
How do I reset MP te make it see that no codecs are installed and make it just find the new FFshow codec?

has the codecrmover build in

ONLY INSTALL THE CODEREMOVER

PLEAS BE CAREFULL !!!!!!
