Default intervideo windvd7 codec settings required

Hi,

I'm using the windvd7 codec for all my mp video (tv, dvd, videos) and the image quality is very good but sometimes the picture looks washed out and dull. I know that there will be registry settings somewhere to tweak this but does anybody have any tips on using this codec. The MPV codec has far better colour and brightness qualities but is not hw accelerated.

currently I'm connected to a Panasonic 32" CRT SD TV via s-videeo and my de-interlace mode for the codec is set to bob which gives me the best results.

Hope someone can help and thanks for reading

just a follow up - has anybody got windvd7 / intervideo codec giving acceptable results in MP? If I play a DVD through windvd7 the picture quality is superb. If I play the same DVD through MP it looks really washed out and overbright (dark scenes look especially bad). I tried copying the registry settings from windvd7 registry entries to mediaportal registry entries but nothing I do seems to work.

As a side note the MPV decoder (which I have reverted to using) gives stunning quality with none of the problems I'm getting with the Intervideo codec. I paid for windvd7 just so I could use the codec with MP so I would like to get it working at some point but it's no biggie with MPV doing the job.
