Default Just another codec question...

I am planning to make a full reinstall of my pc, so I reconsider some setup questions regarding codecs. Actually I have 2 questions:

* I see in the tips & trics section that with the NVIDIA Purevideo decoder still al lot of registry adjustment are necessary to make it work to the maximum. Is this still valid or is it included with some later version of MP?

* I have a PVR350 tv card. Do I need to install those codecs from Hauppage for use with MP or are the drivers sufficient?

...

Just a GENERAL tip: Most stickys are VERY old... Don't try to fix it, if it isn't broken

Registry HACKS are only to be done if you are very confident in what you are doing.
In windowed mode, you can adjust settings within the Purevideo icon on the system tray when running TV/Video instead of registry (much safer)
Do not know about the hauppage codec's, but if someone finds them really good or neccessary then let Traverse know.

Agree with Okay, don't fix unless broke

Check your codecs are fine with Filmerit.
Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.

Hi,

2) Drivers for 350 are enough. You do not need to install the codecs.
