Synopsis::

well, i set up my new htcp and besides some other known problems (sometimes audio not synch, no signal or choppy tv) i have everything running more or less smooth now (-;...

there's one problem though, MTV has no sound, regardless wich audio codec i use. all the other channels have sound. i already checked if there would be another audiochannel to select, but there isn't.

any ideas? can't miss southpark tonight (-;

log will follow in two minutes....

edit: here it is

started MP --> went to TV --> was on RTL II --> switched off timeshift because audio wasn't sync again (but this has no effect on the lack of sound in MTV) --> changed channel to MTV --> sound was gone!

Hmm some might view lack of sound on MTV as a feature!

You're using SPDIF or analog audio? I bet analog audio would work at once. Dunno, Southpark already started?

yeah, southpark aired at 10pm this evening, in fact there's another one on air right now. (-;

i'm currently 'rebuilding' my room so no Surround right now have to check a new way for all the cables first it's just a cable from the speaker out to the tv. working for all the other channels. in config i also just configured stereo output (but i've tried other settings as well)

I'm using the same card and sometimes MTV was found incorrectly during channel scan.
Please make sure that ac3pid of the channel's properties is 0 or -1

btw: today's svn build has a bug fix which allows to correctly save your speaker settings again.
