| Area: Media Portal Program MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 RC2 (2005-12-16) MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo Windows Version: Windows XP (SP2) .NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727 DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904 (9.0c) Audio Codec: InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge Video Codec: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Decoder CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 1600+ Memory: 1 GB Motherboard: MS-6373 (MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD) TV Card Model: Hauppauge PVR 350 TV Card Type: - TV Card Driver: - Video Card Model: Radeon 9600 Series (256 MB) Video Card Driver: - Video Card Resolution: 800x600 Video Render Type: Overlay Audio Card Model: NVIDIA® nForce(TM) Audio Audio Card Driver: - Synopsis:: Having problems with live TV, I'm new to Media Portal so excuse any Noob terminology I may use. Any way, I tuned the channels for my TV card and the live TV comes through perfect in the set up screens. When I close the Media Portal Setup program and launch Media Portal, Live TV looks terrible, it almost looks like the channels are not tuning correctly. I can see what looks like images from two different channels, also the sound is chopped up and garbled. Also, live TV works fine with with included TV program that came with my 350 card (WinTV2000?) Not sure what to do? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! |

Country: | Users with PVR 350 experience may offer some other suggestions, but try changing the Video Renderer to VMR9 and in Configuration General, select "Use Exclusive Direct X...." If that doesn't help, post the section of your MediaPortal.log file that relates to watching live TV.....that might give us some clues. Also, there have been some changes/improvements recently in MediaPortal to do with hauppauge cards, so you might want to try a more recent CVS - March 1st, for eg. |

Country: | Hi, some additional hints: - set VMR 9 as renderer - set MPEG2Dec as video codec - set MPEG/DTS/AC3/... as audio codec - give these drivers a try: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9027.0 - turn on "Use Quality control" (medium) Configuration->Television->Capture Cards->Edit (PVR350)->Quality - make sure that the right "TV standard" is set for your channels (PAL / NTSC) Configuration->Television->Channels->Edit->Analog - give a CVS a try HTH, Flip. |
