Default Mediaportal.exe Crash

Area: Media Portal Program
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 RC3
MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo
Windows Version: Windows MCE 2005 (Windows XP with SP2)
.NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727
DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904 (9.0c)
Audio Codec: AC3Filter
Video Codec: Intervideo Video Decoder for Hauppauge
CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 1800
Memory: 512 Mb
Motherboard: Epox 8 RDA with nForce2 chipset
TV Card Model: Hauppauge HVR 1300
TV Card Type: DVB-T
TV Card Driver: 2.4
Video Card Model: ATI Radeon 9550 Pro 128 Mb
Video Card Driver: 8.162.0.0
Video Card Resolution: 800Ă—600 (SVHS Out)
Video Render Type: VMR9
Audio Card Model: nForce AC’97 Audio
Audio Card Driver: 6.14.442.30

Mediaportal.exe crashes after while, sometimes after few minutes, sometimes after few hours. While ago I did a clean installation of the Hauppauge HVR1300 drivers (as adviced in support forums) and after that clean install of Mediaportal 0.2.0.0 RC3. For instance today I was recording when mediaportal.exe crashes, the recording was fine (except 2-3 seconds bad quality while crash happened) and in log:s there is nothing about the crash (at least I could’t find it). If mediaportal crashes before schelued recording, nothing will be recorded. Sometimes I’m watching videos or photos and when I close mediaportal I see the windows error messages that “mediaportal.exe has encounterd problem and needs to close …”, always same Windows error window and always mediaportal.exe. In the end are all the logs. I hope someone could hepl me to solve this.

Default Mediaportal.exe Crash

You can try to change the capture card settings, so that the other device of Hauppage card digital recivers is not allow to record, that it is only for viewing.
I had that same problem earlyer and that resolved it for me.
I also installed the latest beta version (2.0.1.0) in to my other computer and it was working straight up, without that change I mentioned earlyer.
Does your analog card work? Mine say that "can not greate graph"...?
