I know everybody is busy, but am I the only one with this problem?

The freezing now happens up to 6 times a day, and the only thing I can do then is complete restart of my system.

Same here! Just very shortly after startup when I turn on My TV, I can watch TV for a couple of seconds or minutes before I get a "No Signal Detected" message. I can sometimes return to the previous screen, even if I can, trying to turn on TV again will hang the pc. Most of the time the pc crashes completely. Trying to get anoyed about this... Please help us!!!

Hi,

CVS releases are untested and therefore sometimes unstable versions!

If you want to have a stable version use eg. 0.1.3 with CVS 08-26-2005 or 0.2.RC1. For CVS bugs report here:
http://mediaportal.elite-squad.net/forum/index.php
You can also find and submit working CVS versions there.

HTH, Flip.

Why call this forum "software support" if it is apparently not meant to report software problems and ask for support??

I've installed the latest 2.0 version last Sunday and it only gets worse. I'm sorry to say, but after fighting an unstable sytem now for 3 months and spending hundreds of hours fighting with codecs, drivers etc, I have decided to go back to Microsoft MCE. Perhaps not perfect, but at least stable. As there is no release date for the final 2.0 version, my family gives me no other choice.

Hi,

sorry if i sounded a little harsh, surely you can get support here. But as I said CVS is not meant for public.

The "no signal" is a bug, and the only support I can give: Use a non buggy version. And that is 0.1.3 with CVS 08-26-2005.

Have fun with MCE! And hopefully we will see you back on 0.2. final!

Flip

And sorry for this short answer, but I have to work now.
