Default MPEG2 dosent work after MP installation.

Hi

After installning latest MP with MPA/MPV codec, i couldent play any MPEG2 files. Not even in WMP, after hours of codec reconfigurations and trying to figure out the problem was i tryied to remove MP, and then MPEG2 files workt again in WMP.

So i reinstalled MP without MPV/MPA, and same problem was back.
Anyone with any idea ??

"All in 1" is the codec package i use and have never had any problems.

The codec pack is the one to blame here. It is highly recommended not to use any codec packs with MediaPortal, as they break DirectShow stuff without you noticing it at once. The result is what you experience now. It is recommended to use current ffdshow builds (http://ffdshow.da.cx/) and maybe a commercial MPEG-2 (nVidia/Cyberlink/Intervideo) and/or H.264 codec (CoreAVC/Cyberlink) instead. As an alternative you might wanna use the included MPA/MPV for MPEG-2.
Try to get rid of the codec pack, but it could be that you even have to do a clean XP install, as it could have broken too many things already.

Default I solved it somehow.

Thx for the answear, i solved it myself few hours later, but hopefully my post will help someone else. =)

I removed every codec pack, and MP.
Made a clean installtion of MP and selected MPV/MPA.

Downloaded "DirectShow FilterPack 2.1"
Installed MPV decoder and CDXA.

And tested it, without really knowing what i was doing, i tought by installing MPV from that pack it might fix something in the XP register.

Now everything seams to work both in MP and WMP.
Thx again!
