To make the most of my nvidia chipset I thought I would get hold of the Purevideo codec. However, playback is awful. It looks like there is one of the colours layed over at the wrong place. Red looks purple, skin looks, well, all colours etc. and there is a bit of a ghost but one which is a different shape (seen on the ticket attachment). Same happens with the MPV codec as well btw. Tried playing the DVD through WMP11 and the same thing happens. Any ideas what to try? Thanks Last edited by NorthernJohn; 2007-02-19 at 00:09. Reason: Added images |

Country: | Did you set this up as "TV" or Monitor, personally just went for the plug and play monitor settings. Tried setting up as HDTV, focus went out, and colours went haywire, (tried a few times same results).

Country: | Haven't tweaked too much tbh. Went through the control panel and set up for HDMI through DVI, set HD resolution to 720p and shuffled the desktop a little to the right (via the tv not pc). Intervideo codec is fine, as is avi etc. I've just heard such good things about purevideo for DVD playback that I thought I would give it a go but something is not right. |

Country: | Hi, i had similar issue on latest nVIDIA drivers (for me it was i think 93.71) with 7600GS on XP MCE. The problem was in the "video overlay". Anytime i set not to use color correction it was OK but after reboot the problem was back again. On my monitor was almost everything white -> pink. I downgraded drivers to previous version (i think 91.xx) and problem was gone. So i think you should try different versions of drivers. |
