In 'configuration' i had updated so many things in sounf that's dificult to say what was the parameter that put things going...
Try one of another thing I'v donne:

unregsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\mpadecfilter.ax
unregsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\mpegaudio.dll

Was there ever any solution found for this? I am having the same problem Sound is fine in everything else but won't play in ripped movies.
