Country: | Hi I have a mp4 video file which I have tried to run in MP without success. It also will not run in WMP (Ver 10) but as expected it will run in Quicktime. I have read the Forums regarding this and have tried to follow some links with I had hoped would have solved the problem, but alas the links are inoperable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Does 0.2.3 run mp4 out of the box? | I have the same problem here. I can play most common movie files but not mp4s. I'm sure it's probably to do with codecs. I've just tested my system with filmerit (decoder checker) but it says there are no conflicts. Anyone any ideas? |

| Portal Designer | MP4 is just a container, it can contain a number of different video and audio streams (and more, such as subtitles). Most likely what you have is and Mpeg4/AVC video stream and something like an aac audio stream. So you will need: - an mp4 splitter (haali - free) - an avc decoder (ffdshow - free) - an aac decoder (again, ffdshow - free) Then it should playback just fine, I play them all the time.
