Hi,

more detailed problem description possible beside the non existing demofile?

Some hints:
- set MPEG2Dec as video codec
- set MPEG/DTS/AC3/... as audio codec
- give these drivers a try:
http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9027.0
- turn on "Use Quality control" (medium)
Configuration->Television->Capture Cards->Edit (PVR350)->Quality
- make sure that the right "TV standard" is set for your channels (PAL / NTSC)
Configuration->Television->Channels->Edit->Analog

HTH, Flip.

Hi,

this looks really ugly.

Its not the resolution (720x576), but a very wrong Bitrate setting (640KB/s). Should be at least 2000 KB/s.

First, try these new drivers:
http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9027.0

Second, set quality mode as mentioned above.

Or turn quality mode off and use this tool to check and set the correct Bitrate:

Hi

Would also recommend updating your nvidia driver as rather old and a lot of changes have taken place in the last couple of years.
Also please try the nvidia purevideo codec also downloadable from http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html
and follow the instruction for trial period, I think you'll be impressed by Quality and low CPU usage.

After I have tried everything mentioned above, still no luck. Picture is the same. Latest drivers. Latest CVS build. The only thing I couldn't find is the bitrate setting for hauppauge 350 in the tweak tool. What should I try next?

Try this:

Use RegEdit to edit the Registry.

Find the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Globespan\Parameters\ivac15\Driver
(some newer cards are in: \ivac16\Driver

Change the following to:
BitrateMode = 1
BitrateAve = 2400
BitratePeak = 22500

Have fun
