Default Quick PDVD Question

Hey there,
Just wondering what mediaportal checks for to enable the Power DVD 8 codec settings in the directshow filters tab. Is it a particular file registered? A registry path?
Cheers.

Just choose the PDVD codec in the MP configuration software and change the codec settings in PDVD, MPC or in a Directshow software that list all codecs

MediaPortal use the IFilterMapper2 interface for locating DirectShow filters (video filters and audio filters). That interface is searching the registry. See: IFilterMapper2 Interface

You might find the MediaPortal GetFilters(Guid[] mediaType, Guid[] mediaSubType, Merit merit) method in the FilterHelper.cs file useful as an example on how to use that interface.
