Question Rundll32 crashes.

hi everyone, i am trying to setup my computer for HTPC, i am trying to find out what are the best codecs and stuff to work with, but i have a big problem.

Although mediaportal seems to work properly, whenever i browse my videos in the windows explorer, i get a message saying "Proceso host de windows (Rundll32) dejo de funcionar" which is something like "The host process of windows (Rundll32) stopped working"

Is that because of my codecs? which ones should i use?

can i just delete all codecs in my computer and start again, without formating the pc?

and, just a last question, i get a message "media player stopped working" whenever i try to launch media player, so i cant use it anymore, can it be codecs also? again, can this be solved? because if i create a new user account it works for some days, then crashes again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

Default

ok, after hours of google, found the solution to all of my pc problems, i am leaving it here in case anyone finds it usefull some day.

whenever i browse my videos in the windows explorer, i get a message saying "The host process of windows (Rundll32) stopped working"

1. Go to computer, your main drive, program files, common files, Ahead, DSfilter.

2. Rename "NeroVideoProc.ax" to say "1NeroVideoProc.ax"

3. Rename "NeVideo.ax" to say "1NeVideo.ax"

4. Reboot

5. Problem fixed.

That's it!

The other problem: whenever i try to launch media player i get this message and it closes: "media player stopped working"

In my case i had the program "satellite TV", just uninstall it and u dont even have to reboot your pc, it will work just after uninstalling it.

hope it will help someone in the future.
