| Hi there, been having a problem, and it's getting a little annoying. When playing back MKV or OGM files, i have the option of choosing which language i use, and which subtitles i use. But at the same time i'd like to set some kind of default as to what is selected when playback starts. As i'm english speaking native, i'd like English with no subtitles. The Haali Media splitter seems to have an option to select which it picks first, but this seems to be ignored, unless i'm doing something wrong. I'd appreciate any ideas, i've searched for this, and i can't find any concrete answers, do i need to use another media splitter? Currently using RC3. Edit forgot to post system info: MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 RC4 (2006-04-18) MediaPortal Skin: MCE Windows Version: Windows Server 2003 (SP1) .NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727 DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904 (9.0c) Audio Codec: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM Audio Decoder Video Codec: Mpeg2Dec Filter CPU Type: Intel XEON - 2.20GHz Memory: 1 GB Motherboard: P4DC6 (Supermicro) Video Card Model: Radeon 9700 Pro (128 MB) Video Card Driver: Catalyst 6.4 Video Card Resolution: 1024x768 Video Render Type: VMR9 Audio Card Model: M-Audio Revolution Audio Card Driver: Revo_1026 |

| Done a little more testing and updated my version of Haali media splitter, when playing through media player classic, the default options seem to stick, but when running through MP, it's still not whats selected as default. Tested with RC3 and RC4. |

| The language preference is not used/called anywhere in MP code. see http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=8677 for reference. |

| Portal Member | if you don't NEED the other stream, better take it off the file altogether - it will also make the file size smallerlook for AVImux GUI on Google
__________________ NLS ...never thought I would advertise MP around that much, so soon... (and when some dev adds better menu handling, multiple calls to modules and plugins with different options and much better dbase handling, it will be love... ah and a nice 3D front end and inter-module messaging system and...)
