specific mkv not running in MP but in WMP - Page 2

filmerit did not find any errors

i actually followed that tutorial for playing my mkv files. and as i mentioned above every file except 2 is working (the two files nto working are The Prestige and Blade Runner)

Download here

Load your film into it by using browse button or drag n drop to container window, it will tell you the neccessary codecs you have installed to play file correctly..

Click the MS A\V button at bottom, 1 renders filter path, 2 plays file.

Actually forget this, as it does not define real video filetype, which is what we need to see if this was your problem.

it tells me: src->(a)-> ffdshow video encoder>- (b)-> video renderer and (a)MPA decoder filter and (b)AC3 Filter (default direct sound device)

the other mkv files which work with MP use the same codecs...

but i could get any file playing in GSpot...

Is there no splitter involved like below, still think it may be worthwhile uninstalling all your codecs, FFDShow, AC3 etc, and try installing Vista codec Pack after rebooting.

If you do not use MPV\MPA, these can cause problems, use filmerit to delete, but they will get reinstalled if you use svn's, be aware.

hi paranoid. i tried installing the vista codec pack (VistaCodecs_v458) but it gives me a stupid 7zip error message wehen i want to run it. i didnt uninstall the codecs first as i wanted to see whether install would function. but it doesnt as this 7zip error message appears. i actually have 7zip installed...

i just managed to install vista codec pack (it turned out that i downloaded half of the file last time).
now all movie filea are working. BUT i have the feeling that the picture has become pale or milky as the color black is not really black anymore

. am i hallucinating or is there a reason, and how can i improve it?

Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.
