Country: | I don't use your filterpack, mainly because I got it working another way. But, I wanted to tell you that Catalyst 8.8 + PowerDVD gives me videoaccelleration of H.264 files under Windows XP (without subtitles of course). 8.6 & 8.7 was terrible and BSOD-hell though... |

But users can choose, and no need to instal whole PowerDVD... I personaly prefer great MPCVideoDec.ax for h.264. This configuration works simply great and wery stable for me. Last edited by hoborg; 2008-09-16 at 09:04. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Country: | I also like MPCVideoDec.ax i find that MPC-HC with internal filters can play all my .mkv files with hardware acceleration no problem. My problem is that MPC-HC can't play the .ts files recorded by mediaportal. CoreAVC can play the .ts files This prevents me from using the MPC H264 Codec for Mediaportal Video |

| Portal Member | Hi Hoborg, just tried your setup and it works. Just one question: when selecting in MP the Cyberlink decoder I hear sound but get a gray screen? I do not think it is related to your program (have seen this when trying to install newer version of e.g. windvd (version 8). But just could not resist asking it in this thread . Running an a nvidia 8500 video cardk.r. Ruud.

You got "gray screen" only when playing HD video ? Or XVid/DivX too? It is working when you choose MPC Video decoder? Last edited by hoborg; 2008-09-16 at 10:14. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
