Hi guys. Im going slightly mad with this. I cant play TV in MediaPortal, well i can but the channels stutter ! But not all, some are goin well, most are not. I tryied almost everything:

- Installed clean XP and MCE
- installed another Skystar driver (4.4.0.0, 4.4.1 BDA)
- installed another Catalyst (7.9, 7.10, 6.14)
- installed all patches (DVB, VMR)
- installed almost 10 versions of SVNs
- tryied any possible video/audio codec

..now Im at the end, dont know what else to try.

Im using some others players - ProgDVB, DVBDream, AltDVB...without any problems. Any other part of media portal works great - videos, pictures, radios. During playback TV with Cyberlink filter my CPU jumps from 3-12%, even while playing those stuttered channels it never goes to more than 20%.

Everything is installed on one PC (TVE, MediaPortal...), when I open TVServer - in TVChannels I can try "preview" option - and there it stutters also. So maybe the problem is on server side and not on MediaPortal?

But I dont get it, why some channels play well and most are not. Thanks for everyone with any suggestion what to do. I would realy use this fantastic application, cos it has everything I want...

Its a problem whit the Ati video drivers, or at least is what other people is saying.
So try a few diferent video drivers.

Problem with Catalyst? I installed 3 versions of them, nothing helped, always the same. or can someone tell me which version is "right" for my HW and TVe version? Or do I have to install last 10-12 drivers and try? Thats annoying.

Is this realy a Catalyst problem? Someone running Mediaportal without problems with SS2 and ATI card - can tell what version of Catalyst is OK?

What combination of filters are you using in it? This is mine:

TS File Source
MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
Cyberlink Audio or AC3 Filter
Cyberlink Video/SP or ffdshow video decoder
Video renderer/Directsound

Can TS File Source be responsible for this problem? I still dont get it why some channels are working well and some are not if this is a ATI driver problem... Thank you.

7.2 seems to be a flavour that works.

So, this aint help!! I tryied Cat. 7.2 and its still the same ! Would someone help with this? Whats wrong? I installed clean WinXP SP2 - nothing else, all available updates, IE7, FW1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and mediaportal TVe+RC3+SVN - nothing else. TV playback is still choppy. What could be the reason for this behaviour? Thx.

OK. I installed all this packs into whole another HW (AthlonXP 2500+, 1GB RAM, KT400A chipset, ATI Radeon 8500..) clean XP SP2, Catalyst 6.11 - AND ITS SAME !!! TV playback is choppy. Im at the end, dont know what else to try...

Could this be .NET FW 3.0 issue? Or incompatibility with Skystar2 ver 2.3 ?

Do exist someone - who has Mediaportal with SS2 without this issues??

Its definitely TVServer issue !!! - I installed only Mediaportal 0.2.3.0RC3 and TV is working perfect ! Without any problems. So please give me some good advices what to do, to make TVe working.

I installed everything like on yours videos

1-installed SQL + SSMSEE
2-installed latest TVe
3-ran it - updated satellites, scanned for channels
4-installed Mediaportal (default folder)
5-installed latest SVN (default folder)
6-installed client (default folder)
7-ran mediaportal settings (configured all filters, folders etc...)
8-ran mediaportal...

Do I have to configure everything else..???
