Synopsis:: Subtitles always on for movies and DVDs

My first post and I have to say I am very impressed with MediaPortal. After ironing out a few problems with my setup (eg. capture card changing name with new driver), things are running well.

However subpictures (subtitles) are always on for both movies and DVDs, even though I have turned off "Show subtitles" in configuration as per other posts.

I've hunted through various threads that sound close, but perhaps not quite the same problem as I am having. May well be a codec specific thing(?), but I've tried a variety of different codecs available on my setup with no luck.

Can someone please help???

Fixed. Uninstalled the Compro DVD software that came with my capture card. There must have been a conflict of some type (even when I wasn't using the Compro codecs...)

Anyway, all good now!
