Country: | Area: Media Portal Program MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0-SVN-22.09.2006-11:44:58,43-Build 10422
(2006-09-22) MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo Windows Version: Windows XP (SP2) .NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727 DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904 (9.0c) Audio Codec: ffdshow Audio Decoder Video Codec: CyberLink Video/SP Decoder CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ Memory: 2 GB Motherboard: MS-7094 (MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD) TV Card Model: hauppauge hvr1300 TV Card Type: DVB TV Card Driver: 25e Video Card Model: Radeon 9500 @ 9700 (http://softmod.techpowerup.com) (128 MB) Video Card Driver: 6.8 Video Card Resolution: 1280x1024 Video Render Type: Overlay Audio Card Model: Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) Audio Card Driver: - Synopsis:: I am getting lots of tv stuttering, but only when i view the epg. during fullscreen mode or on the mytv page tv playback is fine. when i click on epg the tv play back begins to stutter and then it will just stop until i return to either the mytv page or fullscreen tv. i have tried different codecs for both audio and video and they all show the same characteristics. I noticed i am using overlay instead of vmr9, is this a major issue? if so then how do i change the setting to vmr9? |

Country: | As of 0.2.0.0 Overlay is not an option anymore. So either you are already using VMR9 and wherever you found Overlay is wrong, or there is something broken in your setup.

| I've got another thread going here on what sounds like a similar issue: Big TV Good, Small TV Bad Do you also get the stutter when the tv is windowed on the front menu screen? And is this also fine for you with a dvd in the same window? Rob |

Country: | Try a older ATI driver, as had same issue with newer nvidia drivers. Went back to a much older version and problem went away on next restart, had been a fly in the ointment for a while. new does not always mean better.

Prefer AVG on the security side, but Avast not bad. As far as Firewall goes, windows one good, especially behind a hardware firewall, ie wireless router. Glad you found what was causing your problem. Might be usefull to someone else with a similar problem. regards
