Regardless of what MP2 codec that I select in the configurator the codec that is used is the one with the higher merit within the overall system. The only way that I can change the codec being used by MP is to use "filmerit" to manually change the merit of the codec that I want to use to a higher value than the other codecs. I have verified this by using "graphedit" to display the filter graph that MP is using. I was under the impression that the selection of codecs in the configuration tool would cause MP to override the merit settings within the system and use the codecs specified in the configuration tool. Is this not correct? Is there something else I need to do in order to have the MP configuration settings work? Last edited by mmoore99; 2007-12-10 at 07:16. |

Country: | Hi, I can confirm it partially. I am not able to change the Codec used to play DVD (or mpg2?). With movies it works (I use ffdshow with some custom settings, I tried mpg4 files only), but with DVD playing not. Hardware: AMD Chipset (690G) with integrated x1250 Video adapter, as you have PS: I guess it is a ATI driver problem again. This Chipset/VGA makes me crazy slowly... |

Country: | IF this helps, I've found that if you select FFdShow as your video codec and it is not configured to decode the format you're attempting to use it for, the merit will select a codec for you. Tell us more about what you're having issue with.
