Video files wont play

I've just made a clean install of Windows XP (MCE actually, but I'm not using the Microsoft frontend). I installed drivers for everything, topped it with ffdshow as recommended on Media Portals site, and then the Media Portal main program.

Tv works, epg works, everthing is fine, besides the fact that I can't play regular videos.

No avi, mpeg or anything. I select the video file, press the button on the remote and nada, zip, nuthing.

Since the dscaler is installed as is the ffdshow, I really don't know what's wrong.

Can someone please help me? My computer specs should not be an issue.

Do the videos play in Windows Media Player?
Something in the logs visible?
- start MP
- try starting a video
- stop MP
- /Team Media Portal/MediaPortal/logs/

You can put them into PasteBin.
