Windows Version: Windows XP (SP2)
DirectX Version: 9.0c
Audio Codec: Dunno which to use
Video Codec: Dunno which to use
CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Memory: 1 GB
Motherboard: via kt880a
TV Card Model: phillips
Video Card Model: Geforce FX 5200
Audio Card Model: Generic 7.1
Synopsis::

for TV, DVD, and my Videos I have a few codecs to choose from

Wondering which is best for my setup.

Some of my choices are

mpeg2dec filter
dscaler mpeg2 video decoder
cyberlink video/sp decoder
cyberlink mpeg muxer
intervideo video decoder
intervideo multiplexor

Or is there a codec I should install to use ?

Hey donmega,

There is a good post by sticky in the tips and tricks section of this forum called MPEG2 (Guide) that deals with this. He tells you the best codecs to use, links to where you can get them from and how to install them.
