Yes, TV Scheduler keeps a history of the episodes it already recorded for a schedule (if there is no episode title a unique checksum of the description is used). So double showings will not be recorded twice if you click "New episodes only" when setting up your schedule
Isn't it a great system ? ;-) Its also very stable since nobody reports any failures or things to fix ....

And you can see that the TVE3 database is filling up with new guide data? And the settings in the TVE3 plugin are all correctly set? (EPG syncing turned on etc...).

Be sure to check in three places for problems: the windows event log with eventvwr.exe, in the TVScheduler.log and in the TVE3 logs (the plugin will log there).

Hi guys!
A while ago I asked if this great app. also works on MP. It didn't back then, but it was relatively easy to do, so does anyone know if this is the case by now?
Hope so, 'cause I only use MP

The next version will work with a system of recorder/tuners that can be "plugged in". There will obviously be a recorder/tuner for TVE3, but it's certainly a possibility to make one for good old MP.

But getting the new version itself done gets priority of course

I'll probably be posting the source code to one or more of the recorder/tuners anyway, so if anyone feels up to it, they can write their own plugin (for MP or another system for that matter).

HI

I'm new on this new pluging..
I have install the service, console and pluging all are working.. But I have some questions

Where do I set the Recorded UNC on the console? I can't find the place... I have check on the settings tab and I can't find the options

Also I have a problem, I don't have TVXML file for all my channels so I don a EPG Grab on tvserver, when I go to the Scheduler pluging to see the "links" I can only see the the tv channels that are on the TVXML file and I don't see the rest of the channels that I have on TvServer, I have also check the "sync TV3 EPG to TVScheduler, But I don't see the channel either..

Thanks!!
Great Pluging!

In the TVE3 management console go the "Recording settings" section and click the "Recording folders" tab. Then select your card(s) from the dropdown and set up their "Recording folder".

This is actually normal, only channels that exist in both systems and that match in name will be synced. So simply use the TV Scheduler Management Console and go to the Channels panel to add all the channels you want to be synced and use the exact same name as in TVE3. Don't forget to save your changes and then go back to the TVE3 plugin settings, the channels should now be listed and linked.

hi dvdfreak,

and thank you very much for this great software. today i installed the web access and can use your scheduler with every machine in my house.

i have two questions:

1. could you make it possible to show all planned recordings (also the schedules iŽve setup in mytv) in the web access? so we would have an better overview ...

2. i never used the alerts but a setting to choose the time when iŽll be alerted would be great (5, 10, 30 minutes; 1, 2, .... hours before the program starts ...)

have a nice day ...

Hey!

1. I'm afraid TV Scheduler knows nothing about any "normal" TVE3 schedules. The new version will even regard TVE3 as a recorder and the actual scheduling will move to TV Scheduler itself, so even less of TVE3 will be used. Bottom line is that you should no longer use TVE3 itself to schedule programs, but move all your schedules to TV Scheduler.

2. It's indeed a good idea to add such an alerts setting, but afaik there is no plugin for MediaPortal yet that supports TV Scheduler alerts I have not had the time to work on this myself. I know pkaul was working on something in that direction, but apparently he got little user feedback, so I'm not sure he's still planning to improve the plugin...
