iPhone interface for MediaPortal (iPiMP) - 3.2.0

iPiMP is a web interface for MediaPortal specifically designed for the iPhone, it uses MediaPortal interfaces to communicate with both the TV Server and MediaPortal client components.

You can use iPiMP to interact with your MediaPortal TV Server allowing you to view your TV guide, read program details, schedule programs to be recorded, email program details as well as view, manage & watch your existing recordings. Watching live TV though is not possible (yet!).

You can also use iPiMP to interact with your MediaPortal clients, you can use it as a remote control as well as view & play music playlists on your MediaPortal clients. This will be extended to provide additional features for the music, video and other MediaPortal plugins.

Looks like an awesome job!
Would you think browsing through music an displaying coverart/playlists would be hard to add?
Maybe I can find some time to help you if you need help..

First release has been posted to the MP extensions/plugins section. Let me know how the installer goes.

If you install it onto your TV server - it *should* all work out of the box.

I know that with some iPhone web-apps you can make them behave more like native apps (i.e. Full Screen Mode, which hides toolbars and navigation buttons and makes the website more like an app) - does iPiMP do this?

Not quite - some of this functionality comes with IUI though which I use - for example orientation changes and loading the web page to hide the safari toolbar.

This is developed on my PC is ASP.NET - no MAC so no Dashcode.

Also - I've started the iPiMP wiki - this will have more instructions, bugs, ideas etc.
