this is way off from the original topic I guess, but in looking at your pics Justchill, it seems like you're connecting the htpc to a crt tv, and not an lcd/plasma. Is this right? if so, what connections are you using, and what's the image quality like? I ask as I'm still firmly in crt land, but would love to move to using mediaportal - however, having gotten used to a pretty darn good image via rgb scart from an xcard, I'm reluctant to go back to using svideo or similar.

Cheers,

Bascombe

Hi Bascombe,

you have noticed it right. I've made a VGA to SCART cable. It's connected to the HD3200 of the 780G motherboard. The SCART also contains the audio
More details are here: VGA-TV
You will have to use powerstrip to make it work.

The colours are pretty good; it's the best analog connection you can have actually. Although some tweaking is necessary and the contrast is standard too high. However I haven't compared it with an LCD TV...

Looks pretty good - how well does it integrate into mediaportal (the walkthrough seems to make use of media player classic), and do you encounter any problems with playing different types of video - do you need to launch different powerstrip configurations, or is it a case of once you do the initial configuring, it'll work with anything you throw at it?

Cheers,

Bascombe

Like that.. you just set the "desktop resolution" and colours and you're done..

I have used the same Antec case as yours armandp but i am having trouble with the display settings in CybrDisplay. It is working correctly but i can't seem to balance the Brightness and Contrass correctly. Any chance of a few screen shots of the settings.

Cheers

Backlight="29" (brightness?)
