No ideas about this one out there? It's driving me nuts!

I'm currently having no luck with the LCD on my fusion either. As soon as I instal the IR Blaster plugin the LCD freezes. Installing the Cyberdisplay plugin made the LCD turn on, display the time, but it is maxed out at full brightness and contrast. No settings in either iMon drivers or the cyberdisplay plugin seem to affect the lcd display.

The remote is pretty iffy too, lots of delays and repeated button strokes. Just when I thought I was getting close...

Don't know if you sorted out this problem yet, but still:

Make the AC3Filter popup an icon in the tray while active, and run MP in windowed mode.
Then, open AC3Filter and take a new screenshot of the settings AC3Filter will then show in realtime what it is doing with your audio.

----

I am also encountering problems with the LCD. Dammit.
I don't use the IR reciever because it can't handle several keypressings at once, which makes it useless for my Wireless Keyboard and Emulators, so I use the MCE Receiver which can handle this
However, the LCD is a thing I really wanted to have. Downloaded the lastest version from the Antec site, since I want to disable the IR function. The LCD is now not working in either FrontView or MP so I really have no clue whats going on. Will pursue this further in the CybrDisplay thread.

I tried running AC3FILTER while in media portal. When I open AC3FILTER it says it is in "OFFLINE" mode and will not display real time information. How do I get it to display info?

EDIT: To get it into online mode I had to check "show tray icon"

However, the tray icon only shows up when playing back a file that previously had DD/DTS working. For my x264/h264 files the AC3FILTER icon does not show. Haali Meedia Splitter does open for x264/h264.

EDIT2: I messed with some decoder settings in Media Portal config. I changed the "Audio decoder" from AC3FILTER to MPA. This didn't change anything, weird.

I just want my surround sound!

Hello.

I have similar HTPC - i just configuring it. Using same codec configuration (thanks for tips!).

What render method are you using in MP? VMR9 or EVR?

I am using VMR9, and when i exit AVIs and select another one, there is OS swap (i see a destop for a while - this dosnt look good) .

Sometime, when i stop playing AVI (standart xvid) and get back to MP menu, MP hangs. Need to use Task manager to shut it down... It hapend, when severel AVIs are played.

PS: Sorry for my english

I´m using EVR (on Vista 32-bit) - When I use VMR9 i'm opening a can of trouble just like the problem you describe .

Thanks a lot armandp for all those informations, they are so useful.
I am going to build an HTPC almost identical to yours and i have a few questions. You said you stopped using FFDSHOW, what can say about the difference?
Personally i want to keep ffdshow for post processing and audio handling. Can i use PDVDor CoreAVC for decoding and FFDSHOW for post processing? DO you think i will have good results for 1080?
Thanks
