| Portal Member | i'm happy with the 3200.. might upgrade to the DS2H mobo (passing the S2H to my girlffriends pc) with a low power phenom in the future and a soundcard upgrade to achieve full HDMI 1.3 sound spec. And the ATI "problem" (flickering overlay with DXVA) is more of a MP issue than an ATI one ![]()

| Portal Member | 9150e is available here in Holland and 9350e should also be available (but i haven't spot it yet) .. They both have a TDP of 65W. Another trick (to be found somewhere in this thread) is to take a 9550 and undervolt it to act like a 9350e. You can also wait for the triple core e's.

Country: | Hi Justerini, Interesting ...... I just happened to be browsing through this post, but I experienced exactly the same problem with my remote (a Leadtek remote that came with my TV card) when I configure MP to use PowerDVD as an external DVD player! If I launch PowerDVD on its own, without MP playing, my remote can control PowerDVD (I have a separate app which maps remote buttons to PowerDVD shortcut keys). But, when MP launches PowerDVD as an external player, the remote doesn't work. I'm guessing it's got something to do with MediaPortal still being in full-screen mode behind PowerDVD, and maybe the little app that does my remote mapping isn't activated, so it can't pass the commands to PowerDVD. Does anyone know how to workaround this issue? It's kind of like MP needs to be minimised when it launches the external DVD player - that might work. To be honest, I haven't spent a lot of time mucking about with it - originally, I was having problems with DVD in MP on an earlier version, so I was thinking I'd have to use PowerDVD as the external player (it has no problems with any DVDs that I've tried). In the end, though, RC1 with the latest SVN seems to be much better with DVDs, so I'm sticking with that for the moment. Would be interesting to know if anyone's sorted this issue out, though. Cheers, Craig |

You think 65W still allow us not to use a a proc fan? EDIT: i just received the antec fusion and there is only one thing annoying i think. I was almost sure(must have read wrong) you could put up to 4 HDD and it seems you can only put 2. Is there something i didnt see? Last edited by carmenm; 2008-07-22 at 13:45. | |

Country: | Hi Carmenm, Yes - justerini is right. The specs you read may well have said that the case could take "up to 4 drives", but that would only be the case if you didn't have anything else in the 5.25" bays. I have the Antec Fusion 2480B (I assume it's the same as yours) - it has 2 x 3.5" drive slots, plus the 2 x 5.25" drive bays. I only have a DVD in my machine (no display panel) so I have an extra hard drive installed in the spare 5.25" bay under the DVD. Cheers, Craig p.s. I'll let you know if I found anything out about the remote and PowerDVD, justerini ... |
