Hi, think I can answer that as I have the same setup.

Use the Windows Media Center profile, that works gold for me.

Im allso using the Antec Black 430 and a Harmony (885).
Under add component: Computer ->media center pc -> Antec -> Fusion Black 430

So its in harmonys database, and working just fine. I havent tried setup my harmony as MCE, so I dont know if its any better or worse.
After I lowered the remote button timings (repeat delay and button held delay) in IR server suite (iMon configuration) to IIRC 150/100 I think the responsiveness is fairly good.

I compared the Antec profile with the Windows Media Center profile and they're the same.

I have all my devices working yes.. only problem (i can't solve) is that my receiver and tv are both philips and somehow they use similar IR codes so when i change my receiver to TV the TV also goes to TV.. but it needs to stay on HDMI.. really really frustating.. i still have to check for conflicts.. This only affects the 'activity' (macro'd - Turn on TV, Turn on receiver, Change to channel etc..)

The profile i use for the system is Windows Media Center combined with volume control from my receiver and i changed the EXIT button to the command BACK, that's it.

Very nice HTPC I have the same Trust MCE keyboard. it works good. But some times i have a porbleem whit the battarie's I think i make a accu pack with a extra power switch.

Can anyone share exactly what steps they took to get the HD acceleration with PowerDVD 7 Ultra working through MP? I keep on reading that it's doable but I can't get any configuration to play back an 1080p mkv accelerated.

I've set the Movies playback to use the 'Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD 7.X)' and made sure that the video acceleration is turned on in the DirectShow Filter Control for the 'PowerDVD 7 Decoder Settings' but no joy.

Anything definitive on this?

Thanks

Hi!
Not all x264 files are possible to decode through HW decoding. Only those files that is compitable with the commercial standards can be decoded through HW decoding, all others have to be taken through SW decoding.

Do you mean in general? This particular file decodes fine using HW though PDVD. I just can't get it to happen though MP.

Do you have a post-processing filter? Like DirectVobSub.. because that WILL disable hardware acceleration.

No, no post-processing. Using Vista as well. Not sure if I'd have better luck with XP?

Did you check with GraphEdit which codecs are used when playing from MP?
