Thanks, Graphedit told me it was using the ffdshow decoder. I went into the ffdshow decoder config and disabled it for h264 and VC-1 and now it's using the Cyberlink decoder with HW accel.
One little niggle is that now it gives the error "A decoder for the new track could not be found. track type: SRT/UTF8" when it launches and it won't play until I hit OK. If I install DirectVobSub the error goes away but I also lose HW acceleration even though I don't have the DirectVobSub filter activated in the post-processing section. So, the question is how do I get rid of the error message without installing DirectVobSub? |

Don't know exactly what's causing this but maybe the "internal" subtitle from within MP is causing this? In the Movie configuration page there's a tab Subtitles.. is it enabled?
this is just a wild guess cause i've never seen this specific error

*edit* i saw you found that topic already. Hope you figure it out
Come to think of it I had problems with subtitles before where DirectVobsub settings where overridden by MP subtitle settings for some strange reason? When i enabled subtitles in MP this issue was gone.. it seemed that ON = OFF and OFF = ON .. this is just an experience i had... so to give some very weird not logical advise.. try enabling subtitles in Mp and see what happens?

Just built a very similar spec case to yourself. Must say the Antec Fusion gets 10/10 for looks but I am very dissapointed with the noise level. Have a decent setup elsewhere in the house that is virtually silent to the extent you can only hear it when you are a foot or so away from it and then only if you really listen. This is on all the time as it is the server for my Squeezebox and has all my audio on it.
In comparison the Antec is like a tractor. Going to remove one of the two stock fans and replace the AMD fan that came with the CPU - I had a monster cooler liek yours but it wouldn't fir in so have just bought another 'silent' cooler. See if that makes much difference. Other than that I've played around for a while with Vista And XP Media centre and have finally decided on a XP SP3 config with mediaportal (which I know need to sit down and fine tune). |

Did you put the case fans on LOW? I only hear the case if i really listen (all stock fan). If you go with the Scythe Ninja Mini cooler it will fit perfectly and you don't need a cooler for the cpu

Does anyone have any other hints about tweaks to get the Harmony and iMON talking together nicely? My problem right now is that when I press buttons they won't respond for seconds and then several commands will go through at once. So I might hit the UP button once with no response. If I hit several times the commands might go through and scroll up sever times. Or I might only hit it once but get several responses. It's pretty inconsistent.

Try this guide (thanks to gdl) it explains in detail what you have to do to make the remote work. I will add this link to my FP.
edit: i had the "slow response" problem before but that was when i was using CybrDisplay plugin with remote support. Make sure that if you also have the CybrDisplay plugin to update to the latest version to remove this remote support. Maybe it's conflicting with IR Server Suite.. or.. you don't have the latest IR Server Suite files?

Awsome that guide was great. It fixed most of problems. It's more consistent now in how it reacts but it still has a tendency to jump four or five selections in the direction of the button I hit sometimes. IOW, I'll hit up once and it'll jump four or five menu selections up. I know that my remote isn't sending more than the one command. Or at least the LED isn't blinking four or five times. Haven't been able to tweak the settings in IR Server Suite to eliminate this yet.
Running IR Server Suite 1.4.2 RC1 and CyberDisplay plugin 05-08-2008. I don't see any reference to remotes in the plug-in. I also haven't got the Cyberdisplay plugin to work yet. Or it was working once for about a minute but since then I'm having a hell of a time getting the VFD to work at all, let alone with MP. What version of the IMON drivers are you running? I'm running the latest 7.2.0502 which might be the problem. *edited* Nevermind! I finally got the display working and I'm too embarrassed to even admit what I was doing wrong! And it also cleared up the remote issue. So both the remote and LCD are working correctly now.Once again, thanks for all your help, Armand! Quote:
