My VCR HTPC

Hi there,

i´am proud to present

my *Telefunken* VCR. (The wolf in sheep's clothing

) The System existes since Sept 06 and it works very well.

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (AM2)
Asus M2NPV-VM (Geforce 6150 Onboard + nforce430) -> works great with 1080p h.264
2x 512 MB DDR2 RAM (PC667)
250Gb Samsung SP2504C
Pinnacle DVB-T Card
PCI WLAN Card
400 Watt ATX Power Supply (it´s to heavy but i haven´t any other)
*no DVD Drive* (want to buy a USB Drive next time)
MS MCE 2005 Remote
Windows XP SP2, Media Portal 0.2.3 SVN

Looks great! Good idea for re-using old equipment, plus HTPC cases are so expensive!

The Northbridge (Geforce 6150 / MCP51) runs very hot but stable. I test the system with 3dmark06 in a loop for many houres and the CPU reaches ~55°C. I use RMclock and in the Idlemode (1Ghz @ 0.95V) is the temperature below 35°C. The fans are very quite and temperaturecontrolled.
