(total is like - $739; take out the Blu-ray player and use a 22 dollar regular DVD you got yourself a 600 dollar HTPC)

OMG no comment on wire management: note to self i'm not building an SFF anymore.


Blu-Ray drive was tough to put in. this thing was thicker than the usual drive

All finished! the HDMI Video/Audio works well to my suprise.

it would be great to get more detailled infos. does it run smoothly with bluray? and so on....

Hardware acceleration drivers are a bit tricky. But i believe in time it'll be worked out. I use Nvidia Driver 175.16 and got it to work.

Most Blu-ray disks i put in has a CPU usage of 25% to 58%.
Blu-ray rips x264 mkv format CPU usage between 20% to 77%

Once i get home i'll get some screenshots on CPU usage etc..

This would make a sweet second client, for the kids playroom and set it up to just watch kids movies and music, and maybe a few simple games.

Here are some stats.








The system runs really smoothly including with Media Portal to my suprise. Sadly I don't have an elite sound system to fully test the surround sound support.
