(and yes i really used media portal uninstall and did not simpy delete the files) |

very old MP/Tv engine installation - entfernt - keine Aktion ^this means that no VERY old version of MP/TV-Server has been found. thats why -> "NO ACTION". the translation is a bit wrong. because instead of "enfternt/uninstalled" it should say "not found". only if MP 0.2.2.0 or earlier, or a very old TV-Server build which used MSI are found, something will happen there.

Country: | I used the uninstaller and removed V0.2.3.0 (there was never any version < V0.2.3.0 installed - clean new system) then i tried to install the new version- i get 3 lines green text of which the only one refering to media portal is the one i posted above. The inStaller then creates an empty folder Team Mediaportal in destination and thats all. |

Country: | Ok to clarify (hopefuly!) I uninstalled the old MP version (it was upto the last SVN revision for 0.2.3.0 RC3 before they were locked) by using the uninstall option within start -> Mediaportal then manualy remved the MP directories I then Dl'd the MP RC1 Refresh version and ran it Chose the 'I don't use MP for TV' option then chose the 'Advanced' install option (I want MP on the D: drive not C: ) MP told me i needed the C++ package - so I clilcked the 'install' button at the top right. MP Dl'd and instaled the C++ package then stopped Clicking next took me to the congratulations page with NO MP installed! As stated, just an empty MP directory. I then chose the 'one click' install - that worked But instaled to the c: driveI uninstalled using the 'everything' option and went for the download only option - then installed the psckage(s) manually. MP now ready for testing ![]() Phew!! |
