was it not in the install?
I can't get a decent aspect with the built-in codec without Dscaler. How do I go about getting MP1rc1 to recognize my Dscaler install? This build of MP is on a virgin system. Thanks. Chuck |

Hi, as iloop said, the team decided to remove it as it was old and caused several problems. You can download and install it from the dscaler website and everything will be the same.

Hi, I would suggest that you download the dscaler decoder separately. The problem with dscaler is that it isn't very good right now and causes several problems for people. The commercial decoders are head and shoulders above anything that is free, so my first recommendation would be to get one of those.

when I select the MPV the aspect-ratio isn't correct on a 16:9 screen and I have not seen any setting for this.

Hey guys - I'm surprised about the comments on dscaler - in terms of quality alone dscaler is easily the best for sports (I've got powerdvd and have tried purevideo and they are great for general purpose but dscaler is significantly better for sports). Unless anyone can suggest another codec that's better for sports...
Any body know exactly which version of dscaler used to be bundled?? (So I can go get the exact same one) Thanks ![]() |
