Exclamation [Announcement] TvPlugin -> MyRadio "Reloaded"

As some of you might have already noticed there were some changes in the background of the db and setupTv without a big note from the team in the last days.
So what is that all about?
Myself and a lot of users were not very satisfied with the MyRadio plugin, so i made some improvements.
THIS IS ONLY FOR THE MyRadio plugin of TvPlugin for TVEngine3!!!
  • the configuration of the radio channels and stream and FM radio stations you could make in Configuration.exe are no longer used. If you add a radio channel in SetupTV via the "Add" button, you might notice that there are 2 new tabs "Webstream" and "FM Radio". Here you can define your streams and FM radio stations which are stored as normal channels in the db.
  • There is also the possibility to create groups for radio channels just like you can do for TV channels. You can even mix DVB-S, webstream- and FM Radio channels in one group.
  • As i said, MyRadio uses only these channels and creates folders for each group.
  • Playlists are currently not directly supported but you can import a playlist (currently only .pls) in SetupTV which parses the list and creates a channel for each entry.
  • if are in a certain channel group and go to the epg guide, only the channels in that group are displayed
  • the streams and FM Radio stations are currently directly played back via MP. For webstreams that is not a problem, but for FM Radio that means you have to have FM Radio card in the pc running MP and not on Server (if you run both on the same machine then it doesn't matter at all). This will probably change in the future
There is still some work to do. I am working on recording of webstreams and FM Radio.
For webstreams it's already working.
The next enhancement will be recording functionality for MyRadio - So stay tuned - give feedback - and be patient - this is still work in progress

Added a new context menu entry in the Radio guide where you can schedule a radio channel.
Recording only works for "real" channels NOT for web streams or FM Radio.
Please use rev 15897

VIEW CHANNEL from Radio EPG GUI fails to start a radio stream.

Starting a stream from the radio channel lists causes MP to become unresponsive once the stream sarts to play, MP needs to be killed via the task manager.

SVN 15898 and MP SVN 15881

DVB-T streams .VISTA32

Using TvEngine SVN 15898 an Mediaportal SVN 15757 i have to create a group first and map the channels to that group. Otherwise the radio channels are not visible in my radio.
When i start playing a radio channel, the radio starts, but i receive massive stuttering, and mp doesnt respond anymore.
Hope the stuttering/massive cpu load will be fixed soon...
Webradio channels are not displayed even if they are in a group.

Just commited some further changes:
- the group "All channels" is now also created for radio channels by startup of the TvPlugin
- Improved playlist import in SetupTV (you can now import the same playlists which were supported by MP)
- The "Radio stations" screen in SetupTV now has the same functionality as "TV Channels"
- Also fixed some glitches when starting to replay a webstream while timeshifting a radio channel and vice versa.

There is still an issue with timeshifting DVB channels. MP just enters an endless loop with throwing exceptions (just have a look at the logs). I am currently investigating. This problem must have exist before !?
It somehow has something to do with the stream not having video.
MP raises an exception while trying to render the video but there isn't any

Hi,
gemx, can't compile after this change:
Code:
Error 822 The type 'SetupTv.Sections.ChannelsInGroupControl' already contains a definition for 'components' trunk\TvEngine3\TVLibrary\SetupTv\Sections\ChannelsInGroupControl.Designer.cs 8 46 SetupTv
Regards
Roy

Having used the RADIO section for DVB-T before this update I didn't have the error loop that is present now.

MP used to produce a simple blank screen on timeshifting DVB-T radio and playing back recorded radio so the bug must have come from the newer code I would have thought.

For your information I just ran a previous TVSERVER SVN 15881 under debug mode on the same VISTA instal as the logs from my previous post and ran a radio stream then navigated around the MP GUI.

The logs are attached, hope this can shed some light on the bug in your excellent update.

If you need any further testing please let me know.
