| Hi all, Can I ask why SQLite was not considered for a Database engine for TV Server? Their engine is a lot smaller and could be distributed with the installation. Untitled Document This site explains that a client/server configuration can be set up. There is also a .net wrapper for the database engine. If not using this method then surely the TV Server itself could become the database server to communicate with the SQLite database. I bring these points up as a lot of users who are fans of the server aren't fans of the installation of MS SQL/ MySQL Last edited by DJBlu; 2008-02-07 at 12:24. |

Country: | i can not tell you the technical details why SQlite was not used because i am not a developer. all i know was that the reason is related to the client-server setup. the TV-Server will still use MS/My SQL in the near future. for MP2 this will mostlikely be changed. ![]()
