Dreambox as TVCard?

Hello,

since the dreambox is streaming the currently tuned channel over the network I was wondering if it would be possible to catch this stream by the new TV Client application. The dreambox must be implemented as a TVCard I think. Can someone give me a hint where I need to start to implement a dreambox as a TVCard? I am also not sure what streaming protocol is used by the dreambox. The stream url looks like: http://dreambox:port/0,03e9,00a0,00a1,00a3

I know about this plugin but it goes the way using the VLC plugin and I would prefer using the new server - client streaming architecture. I think it should be quite easy to implement the dreambox as tv card type since the TVServer is also broadcasting the current channel over the network like the dreambox. So the TVServer only has to redirekt the stream.

There exists a DirectShow filter from bitcontrol http://www.bitcontrol.com/products/d...receiver.shtml for the dreambox
Building a graph using this filter should be easily possible. Can somebody please point me in the right direction for implementing a virtual TVCard using the dreambox in the background.

I think having it as a card would be good as well (so recordings could be stored in MP - I don't think the current plugin does this.)

Does anyone know if there is any development going on in relation to MediaPortal being able to treat a Dreambox (DM7025) as a tuner device?

I have recently purchased a DM7025 and am extremely disappointed with the EPG functionality. I can't understand why the dreambox developers don't introduce functionality matching the EPG in MyTV on MediaPortal (i.e xml import, well structured GUI). It really is a must especially using austalian satellite because they only have now and next on the sat feed.

The Dreambox does the Sat decoding perfectly, and MediaPortal MyTV EPG is a great interface. How can we join the two??

I stream today from DM7025, but it still litle "buggy".
The best way is to use the streamproxy for this, but this one have problems with some multiple adiochannels.

So mine solution was to rewrite the enigma2(the tv app. engine") so i could get all audio pid's to a xml based webinterface via Enigma2 python plugins, that way I'm now able to stream all channels.

When the Enigma2 is more stable, do I plan to write a plugin for MP and TV-Server.
I will try to support both Enigma1(DM7000,DM500,etc) and Enigma2(DM7025,DM600, and upcoming DM8000).

I hope I can get some time to do this later this fall.
