Hi SciDoctor,
we can't do much about that issue. We just use the pcr pid that we received and it's decoded correctly, so it's a problem of the broadcaster.
Sorry

Just for completeness. I did the last update for the filter on post #1.
Mainly optimisations and a bugfix.
From now on this version will be the default in SVN.
The next snapshot installs this version and therefore i won't update post #1 anymore but nevertheless we should go on using this thread for any bug reports regarding TsWriter.

Sorry
But can't the exception be handled so that it doesn't crash?

Indeed it shouldn't crash but i found a problem where section decoder enters an infinite loop and never returns.
I fixed it in the last version (TsWriter SVN.rar).
I think that was the problem.
Also
Code:
2008-01-31 11:01:25.421875 [8]: dvb: Failed to add bda receiver: Nebula DigiTV USB BDA Filter. Is it in use?
points to a "hanging" TsWriter so just use the SVN version and try again.

Hi gemx,

now i have make some tests becourse the Channel "MTV Germany" ... i am sure you have heart something about this . Sometimes no Sound, and simetimes just the first frame of the Video.

My first Test today, was this one with the last SVN (17231) and leave the old TSWriter.
No Changes ... MTV Germany have the same isue.

After This Test i do again the Test with your last TSWriter (the SVN Version).
No Changes ... MTV Germany dont work correctly.

But i was suprised after i make some records from this channel and play it in VLC mediaplayer.
All record with both Versions of TSWriter works.

Now i know that is a TSReader Problem, and happy that the TSWriter is nearly perfect when i read the posts here.

Very Good work! And hope you will update the TSReader too, or some other Dev.

Chrissooo

Hi Gemx,

Here is some more info about double entries in epg. They showed up right after the epg grab crash mentioned in my other thread. When I did a complete rescan and grab, all programs were normal again. So it think the double entries may be realated to tvserver crashing and the epg grab. Off the top of my head it seems that this issue did co inside with when tvservice started crashing... I can't be sure, but they were around the same time.

Chissoo,
I had similar issues with my ATI 2400. Some channels (mostly HD) would only show up black with no audio. Previewing them from tvserver setup they showed up fine. I had to switch back to my "old" ATI 1900XT card. Problem went away then. Can you see the channels from setup?

My System

Default Problem with recording

Hi,
I have found a problem..

I can watch a channel, no problem but if I push the "Record Botton" and close MP...

After I go back to watch the recorded show and I get "Blank video no audio.."

This only happends with some cable channels... "only with FireDTV-C" on the other "DVB-T card I have never had problems"

I have attach the TvServerLogs... and MpLogs
I have a 10mb .ts file also so you can test... but I can't upload because there is a limint o 5mb

Iosu
Note: TsWriter has a lot of
1-02-2008 02:07:22.625 pmtgrabber: serviceid mismatch 2110 != 1920
01-02-2008 02:07:22.625 service_id=2130
01-02-2008 02:07:22.625 pmtgrabber: got pmt 101 sid:852
01-02-2008 02:07:22.625 pmtgrabber: serviceid mismatch 2130 != 1920
01-02-2008 02:07:22.625 service_id=1990

Also, If I record a channel with DVB-T I can play without problems... and also with some othe DVB-C channels..

Note2:
I have found this post " http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/co...ight=recording "

At the end of the post there is a user that give and advice to use "ProyectX" to remove some extra "audio info" I have use the utility and now I can watch the recording.. I have attach the log file of the "proyectX" utility...
Looks like TSwriter is writing some "Garbage" to the .TS file..

Note3:
The none converted .TS file can't be viewed with WIndows Media Player or VLC, but the one converted with ProyectX I can viewed with Windows Media Player, VLC and MediaPortal.

I just want to make sure here that we don't hunt bugs in TsWriter which are in TsReader
Can you watch the recording with VLC/MPlayer. I suspect this is a TsReader problem they seem to be popping quite a bit at the moment.

What is used when you preview a channel in SetupTV.exe? TsReader?

iosub, it would be really nice if you could upload the file.
Maybe use ZShare and post the link?
