Country: | I haven't updated the installation instructions for the latest version as only the revision has changed. So for RC3 it must be: - Install and configure RC3 of TVE3 It just mean that you have to install the TvServer and start the setup program and configure the database connection before installing the patch. Country: | RC3 is already installed with TVserver and the database (MySql) is also configured. In fact the database has 3 analog cards (2 hardware and 1 software) and I have added the channels, groups etc. I can view the channels on the TVServer machine and on my laptop also (which is configured as MediaPortal client). Yet I still get the error when I run your patch on the TVServer pc "Cannot update db. Tried to restore the old files". |

Country: | One more little question. After installing this patch, can I force the video standard of the capture card? The reason I ask is that I have connected my STB to composite inputs of my capture card (Toshiba TV Tuner which is oem'd by Avermedia and is probably model M038). The STB outputs PAL but the Toshiba Tuner is NTSC. When I capture through the Toshiba, the video and sound is all garbled. In GBPVR, I can force the video signal to PAL for the capture card and then the video and sound become normal. It would be great if I can do something similar in TVServer. As it is, I have chosen the country but it has made no difference. Maybe I can force through a a field in the database if not through the UI. Thanks. Thanks but I have already tried it that way and it made no difference. Last edited by Khurram; 2008-11-17 at 21:09. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | Currently it is not possible to set a specific tv format, resolution etc. You shouldn't expect that this will change before 1.0, because of the feature-freeze. Also I don't have any idea why the patch installer doesn't work for you. You should apply the script manually and than replace the original files of TvServer with the included new ones. MisterD |

It would have been nice and easy if there was one.Ok, I will ran the the script and copied the dll files and the exe file to tvserver folder. I cant see any difference in the tvserver configuration for the cards. I dont see any tab/option/menu where I can choose the encoders. Last edited by Khurram; 2008-11-18 at 10:45. | |
