Country: | Hi sdf, I already had a small look at analog radio. It is working for me, if I successfully start an analog tv channel first and than switch to radio. I think I know the reason for this, but it would be very complicated to fix this. But first I will concentrate on the graph building and picture quality problems of analog cards. MisterD |

Country: | Yes, I know that. It works with tv on (but recording doesn't work). I think you're the only one who can solve analog radio problems. Let's wait. Anyway, thank you for your good work on analog cards. Best regards, sdf By the way, MisterD, a suggestion. Do you think it could be a good idea to implement (for your patch on analog tv cards) a combo box that lets you choose the video and audio encoders for the card (not only a priority) and also the possibility to open the settings dialog box of the filter (maybe this also for the multiplexer)? All this leaving the possibility to the user to choose the old automatic mode. Just an idea. Best regards, sdf Last edited by sdf; 2008-02-16 at 16:20. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | I'm not the only one who can solve the problem, but atm the other devs are trying to fix other issues of MP1 and TVE3 or are developing MP2. There are still issues regarding dvb cards in TVE3, which have to be fixed too. We had already almost the same idea regarding the encoders and it's on my list for the next modifications. But first I will port a new feature of dvb cards to analog cards, which should improve the channel change time. If you have similar ideas than please share it in the other thread (see here) to keep this thread clean and only for this patch. MisterD |

Country: | @MisterD thank you for analog radio working again! Do you think to port all the improvements in analog tv also to analog radio? Anyway, a big thank you again! We've been waiting so long for solving this bug. Regards, sdf |

Country: | Nice to hear that it is working for you all. There is only two small difference between analog tv and analog radio: - Radio has no video signal ![]() - Tuning informations So there is no need port something. Perhaps something on the client side is missing, but I haven't yet checked this. MisterD |

| Portal Member | Hello Misterd, thanks for your time and effort with the analog cards. Last weekend I finally took the plunge to upgrade to the (at that time) newest CVS '17500': the analog radio working again did the trick for me ;-). What I see now in (multi seat) is that while recording (one program) the CPU usage of TVService.exe is fluctuating between 45 and 70% where that previously (without the incorporated changes mentioned in this thread) would be between 5-10% (Hauppauge MCE500 card). Did I miss something? Some setting to have the Hauppauge offload the CPU? Thanks in advance!. Kind regards, Ruud.

Country: | Hi Ruud, I have no clue why the cpu usage has increased with this build. Perhaps it has something to do with the new audio video observer stuff, but without a log of the server I can only guess. MisterD |

| Portal Member | Hello Misterd, just stopped tvservice, restarted it, waited for the CPU to go to (almost) idle. pressed [timeshift] and copied the log. Had a look at the log, but I hope you can make more sense out of then I did ;-) thanks, Ruud.
