Default Problems with several HW-encoding analog tuner cards

As per FlipGer's suggestion, I am posting this in the Development forum. Several people are having the same problem with their hardware-encoding analog tuner card: the the card is detected, but scanning for channels results in no channels found. In all of these cases, the card works fine in MP 0.2.2.0, and has been removed from the config there.

Some of the cards:
I understand that several Hauppauge and Winfast cards do work, those all seem to be based on the Conexant CX23416 chipset. I have not yet heard of any other HW encoding chipset that do work in TV-Engine 0.3.

My card is the PowerColor Theater 550 PRO, running on an ASUS P5GD2 motherboard with an Intel Pentium4 530 processor and 2x Kingston KVR533D2N4K2/512 RAM.

I've already posted my log files twice, but I'm happy to post them here again.

Is there anything I can do to help develop support for these cards, or are we doing something wrong?

Thanks, Peter

Any news on this? I am flabbergasted at how this subject never takes off in any threads? Can someone at least confirm that it is a bug in the tv-engine? Or has it been fixed? At least in ver. 0.2.3.0 RC2 my Leadtek Winfast PVR-2000 card is still not finding any channels... Is anything at all being done to look at this problem? To me it seems like it can effect a lot of people.
Sorry for my frustrated "tone" but I have been looking for a solution to this problem since May and all I find in the forum is other frustrated users and never any info from the Devs.

The bug is that the encoding (either hardware or software ) to mpeg filters are not included in the graph building by the TV engine .

So you get a raw non mpeg stream being connected to the mpeg demux which obviously fails.

I have offered to test any beta code to get this working with AIW cards but no feedback as of yet.
