It's correct, and then again it isn't. There's no timezone information there, which is a pitty. What did you use to grab this? People that write grabbers should do everything in their power to include timezone information in the XMLTV file (but I can understand that with some sources of data it may not be possible).

Anyway! Even without timezone information, the data is imported correctly, as you say. That's because TV Scheduler assumes the data is for your current timezone.

You still have that checkbox turned on then? Is the data correct in TVE3's database, can you check that? Otherwise it may indeed be overwriting the correct data with faulty times.

I guess it's time to turn it off but its been fine for months until the hour change.

The guide in MP is also incorrect which I suppose is a reflection of the TVE3 database.

I will do some more testing and let you know.

Thanks

Well, there you have your answer. If TVE3's guide is broken, and since you sync the data, you will automatically screw up TV Scheduler's database as a result.

So kudos to TV Scheduler for handling the hour-change properly!

And it seems there's some fixing to be done to TVE3's XMLTV importer Perhaps you should report this as a bug in the proper forum section.

Well I am trying not jump to conclusions.....

So I am the only one using the sync feature who has this problem ?

You are right about the TVE3 XMLTV importer being poor. I tried to verify what it was doing with the xml file last night but it kept locking the management console each time I tried it so I gave up to do something better. I'm probably doing something wrong but my mystic powers have failed

Well, the problem is not really in the syncing, it appears to be in TVE3's XMLTV importer (since TV Scheduler imports the very same file just fine). So if people use only DVB-EPG in TVE3 and then turn on the syncing they will not see your problem, since there's no XMLTV imported into TVE3.

Actually, anyone using XMLTV importing into TVE3 should have the problem you are seeing, regardless of whether they use TV Scheduler or not. I suggest you post something in the TVE3's bugs section of the forum.

Thought I'd chime in here just to say that my TVE3 and Tv Scheduler setup is working fine after the change to BST last weekend. In case it helps with figuring out visteon's problem the details are as follows:

XML file created by XMLTV GUI using the Radio Times listings
The same XML file is imported into both TVE3 and TV Scheduler
'Sync TVE3 EPG to TV Scheduler' is disabled in TV Scheduler Sync plugin
No timezone compensation is used in XMLTV plugin
No DVB EPG grabbing is used

Everythings working as expected.

While I'm here, big to dvdfreak for TV Scheduler, it is superb and without it I could have never made the switch to Media Portal from my old Topfield PVR.

Your XMLTV file grabbed by XMLTV GUI probably contains the timezone information that WebEPG does not seem to include. While TV Scheduler correctly calculates the current timezone setting, it seems TVE3 does not. At least, that would be my guess based on the information so far.

So with correct timezone information your system works fine with both importers

Thanks!

But I have some sad news... TV Scheduler will die soon...
