Default New Version 0.2.0.08

Sorry All,

I found an error in the EPG refresh that was causing the first few channels to be ignored.

Fix is in this version

Kev,

I'm having a little trouble at the moment with the Scheduled Programs page. If I select the link to this page, it never displays and the MPWebInit service on the server maxes out the processor. It seems then that the only way to stop this is to then go to the server and restart the MP Web Server service.

I've tried reverting to the standard web interface to eliminate this as the problem and there was no change. Also, this led me to discover another issue - as I had upgraded from your previous version, I still had the custom HTML entries in the Setup section of the ini, which meant I was not able to remove the custom HTML code via the manager. I manually edited the ini file to do this initially, then after thinking more about this, I decided a complete fresh install might be in order. Unfortunately, although the ini file looks good now, it didn't fix the Scheduled Programs issue.

Can you suggest what might be happening here?

P.S. A small comment about the Custom HTML feature... I found it a little awkward to find all the bits relating to it in the Manager. Without much thought, I first removed the code from the HTML page, which had little effect (of course). I then went to the Appearance page and disabled "Use custom HTML for data display" which seemed to also have no effect. Then the next thing I did was to go to the Web Interface page and deleted the HTML Template Directory entry which finally got the standard interface back. Can I suggest that perhaps that these things might be better grouped together?

fixed New Version 0.2.0.09

A thousand apologies....

There was an infinite loop in the "Scheduled Programs" section.

Please do not use 0.2.08. I have deleted it from the download page.

Kev.

Peter,

I will look at your suggestions next week when I have some time.

The next things I want to work on as well are:

1. Conflicts - display all possible conflicts and have ignore and resole options
2. Scheduled Recordings - display the more complex options correctly on the schedule (ie this time each week etc)

Thanks for the quick fix, Kev. It all looks to be working fine now.

Seems to work here just fine. Now I see cards on tv server status again, but I can't stop the cards? It's not important, just something I noticed.

Also, while there are still problems with conflicts, could there be some setting to disable conflict handling alltogether? I have two tuners on my HTPC and if I want to record more than 2 shows on different channels it tells there's a confict.

TV server allows me to record as many channels as I want if channels are on the same transponder/mux, web int manager doesn't. Could you retrieve channel frequency to web interface so you could determine if there's a real conflict or not? Instead of using current 1 receiver 1 channel logic?

Big_Kev: I have been quite busy lately, so didn't had a change to get to work on the remote control and stuff. But will be soon.

Just to inform you (and others interested) as you putted in the time and effort to create it after my request.

Smile New Version 0.2.0.10

Finally, I have had a little time, so here are some more fixes etc.

New Features:
  • Options for conflict resolution - There is now an option on the Web Interface page to disable conflict resolution... but before you race to do it, there are some other modifications...
    1. Shows on channels with the same MUX do not cause conflicts if they overlap.
    2. There are now option pages that allow you to decide if you want to ignore/resolve a conflict when it occurs
Fixes:
  • Recordings that use the multiple record options - like "Every Week at this time" etc, now show correctly in the guide

There are still some limitations on conflict resolution. It will take into account the type of schedule for programs already scheduled - so if they are for every day at this time, this will be checked for conflicts. However, I have not yet programmed it to check the schedule type for the program being added as well, so it could potentially miss some future conflicts if you are adding multi-day recordings.

Regards
Kev.
