I think in general it was recommended to have UAC off for MediaPortal, as there were too many things that could hang because of it.

Default New Version 0.2.0.15

New Version 0.2.0.15:

New Features:
  • Remote Suspend / Hibernate / Restart / Shutdown of PC hosting the Web Interface

Thanks for the suggestion Fairlight...

I have only tested this for XP, so feedback on Vista would be much appreciated.

I have attached a zip file with updates for Risu's Custom HTML Interface pages - with some additional fixes to previous HTML errors in my last attempt, as well as the remote shutdown stuff... see TV Service page.

For the standard interface, there is a new menu option for "Remote Shutdown" on the main menu

Hi Big_Kev and sorry for the late answer...
I downloaded and tested the new version, and it's perfectly working. Thanks a lot for your great work and responsiveness!
I've started to work on a french translation (still need some rework to fit the strings...) and I thought you might be interested in it... However, I noticed that quite a lot of sentences are missing... If you have them somewhere, I'm ready to work a little more

Default New Version 0.2.0.16

Hi Fairlight,

Once again you have inspired me to write a new version...

This one adds strings to the translation file that it can not find a translation for. So if you open all of the web pages on the interface and flick through the options in the manager, it will load up any strings that it can not translate.

If there are strings in the web pages that do not translate and do not show in the translation file, you need to edit the HTML page and put 3 tildas (~) on either side of the string. It will then show in the translation file.

When you get a chance to finish the translations, please send me the MPTranslate.ini file so I can add a french option to the install script.

If you have Risu's custom pages installed (with my additions), could you please make sure you access all screens on the web interface for both custom and standard html options.

If there are any strings that are embedded in the interface that you can not find an entry for, let me know and I will fix it.

Please let me know if you need to change any of the html template pages, so I can change my master copies for the installer.

I am away for the next week - camping on the beach - no power, no phone, NO COMPUTER, so I wll not be able to get back to you until after 7th April...

Regards
Kev

Hey BK,
The idea of making backups sounds excellent. I tried to make a command line backup utility using OSQL commands and failed miserably so this will be a much better option.
I'm pretty sure that feature will bring a whole lot of new users to your application

Cheers,
Marcus.

Hi all,

Is it just me, or does the URL in the first post point to an EPG downloader and no longer the web interface?? Is it the same thing? I looked back in the posts, but did not see anyone else mentioning it

Big Kev, this is a brilliant piece of work. Much Appreciated!!

FYI I've installed it; got it working; customised it and love it all in a few hours..

Few (very) minor suggestions.. For the TV Logos I have a mix of gif jpg and png files.. you only seem to serve up pngs.. no problem I batch converted em.. but it'd be a nice to have.

I notice the onHover box for guide descriptions is only single line in firefox (while multiline in IE).. Multiline in firefox would be great.. unfortunately my js isn't up to fixing it myself..

**EDIT** Skip the above comment.. I had noscript blocking the javascript!! fixed ;-)

Your prev and next in the guide would be cool if they detected the '6 hourly' settings i.e. 12noon to 6pm becomes 6pm to midnight.. again it could probably be done in js.. maybe I can have a go at that one.

Finally, your 'All Channels' defaults selects every channel.. not just the ones 'ticked' in MP/TVE3. I have lots of Sat channels that I don't 'select' in MP but it's too much of a pain to delete them each time I scan for updates.. you might want to put a 'where' clause in your select. Note to get around it I just set up a 'displayed' group that doesn't have them in it.. but it'd still be a nice to have.

***EDIT*** One last thing (I promise) Could you strip out all [ and ] in the epg data? I know the DVB EPG from Ten always ends in [Copyright 2007 Ten] or something and this screws up the boxover parsinig!! please :-)
Once again thank you.. excellent piece of work!

Thanks
erosco
