Are you wanting to use this on a PDA/iPhone?

Current layout is one column per channel with scheduled recordings for the same channel stacking vertically.

How would a display similar to the recorded TV screen be? with 4 colums for the time intervals (or a number of columns based on time intervals you select) and a date column with the scheduled recordings across the rows for each day?

I guess I'd prefer to see stuff listed in a table more like how the current "Recording Priority" screen shows. That's just personal preference though, it's not a big deal. I guess the current screen just looks strange for me 4 column-wide because it doesn't fit my 1024x768 laptop screen quite right. Also, the Recordings screen entries are all different sizes due the length of the program descriptions. To be honest, it's really just esthetics and just make it look cleaner. I feel like I'm just whining! Thanks again, Big_Kev other functionality I think would be more important.

PS. Maybe it's Risu's layout, I haven't tried the default.

Hi Big_Kev,

just installed your interface: great work !

I would suggest only two minor fixes :

- Installer should ask if you want to configure windows firewall and if so ask the TCP port
(you can see WindowsFirewallChecker.cs in DeployTool if you are based on C#)

- Logos automap button should use the "ALLUSERSPROFILE" variable to get the default MP directory and if this doesn't exist should select C:\.
Actually you have C:\Document and Settings hardcoded and this give a error on Vista.

Thanks for all your work Big_Kev. I thought I'd add something that may 'help' others. I've just got an iPod touch and using the Web EPG on this platform is great. I added a bookmark to the touch's homepage, but by default the icon is a snapshot of the page (the login screen being mainly blank just provided a white square on the homepage).

I followed this link (adding the <link rel=...> to the login.html in newinterface folder).

The icon worked first time and looks pretty smart. Attached is a screenshot of the touch and the png I used for the icon.

Hi Golf4,

I had a look at your linked thread, and I noticed that there were some untranslated phrases. If you open the Manager program and go to the Translations page you will find these phrases down at the bottom of the listing. If you type in the German equivalent in the table next to them, when you save and reset the interface, they will appear in German.

If you do the translations, could you please send me the MPTranslate.ini file from the program directory so I can update the German install.

Regards
Kev

Hi,
I've just installed this but I'm having trouble. It doesn't seem to pick up any of my channels?
The connection to SQL is fine, and the web service is fine (I can log in, and the TV Server page shows my cards fine).
In the config page, I clicked the "reset" button on the Logos page, but no channels appear. All my user accounts so far have been set up using a group name (in MediaPortal I only use this one group rather than All Channels).

Any ideas? This may have been already answered but it's quite a long thread, and I'm at work
