Hi big_kev,

First of all, I would like to say thank you! Great work!

I get this error, on the latest RC3, when i press the streaming button in the guide:

MP Web Server Error 500
The Web Server has encountered the following error:

[AnyDAC][Phys][ODBC][Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Il nome di colonna 'epgOnly' non è valido.

*Invalid column name 'epgOnly'.

Any idea?

Hey Gents,
I've tested local streaming successfully. Configured everything on my network and not over Internet but streaming started.
Then it stopped after 10 secs of playback. When I click pause/play in VLC it starts streaming for another 10 secs.
I'm not sure how much bandwith it uses, because I only have a WLAN connection to my HTPC, what is of course not the best for streaming.

I'm not very keen on video/audio codecs. Is it possible to reduce traffic by streaming 320x240 or 640x480? Or using a different codec?
What kind of codecs have you guys selected in the "VLC Stream Output" output? I've used the default values from the HowTo guide.
If we have considered information about the best streaming output we should try to get a "VLC profile" to select from the drop down menu (like: PSP or Xbox).

Edit:
- It was not obvious for me to click on the grey Button to start streaming. Perhaps a button with "stream" which is going green would be better.
- In the Logfile view, the dropdowns of the menu are empty.
- I have THermaltake DH101 too, and everything seems to work fine while being in MP and watching films, etc. What testprocedure did you do?

Error: [AnyDAC][Phys][MySQL][LIBMYSQL] Column 'directory' cannot be null

I asummed it would be something to do with the database format but apparently not. This thread is 84 pages. Would it be worth making a wiki with known problems and fixes?

Does anyone know how to fix this prob?

Yes...

Check MP Tv Server config and make sure that each card has a recording folder specified.

Hey,
had some time to test the Remote Control plugin. Works nicely on my system.
Some "ALT" text on the links of the remote control would be nice for explaining the buttons. Especially the short cuts.
A "start MP" button in the remote control window would be nice. At the moment you have to switch to playlist to start MP.

What can be done with the playlist feature?
I have no playlists until now. So view is empty. A button to create a new playlist would be great. Or a descrition how to use the playlist feature :-)

Despite from that, my second DVB-T card is still lost (described earlier). Can I reactivate that somehow?
And within some channels I do not see EPG. In Mediaportal the overview is empty too, but on the detailed view, everything is available. How to I configure the EPG refresh?

Just tested the streaming, and it seems to be working. I can stream locally and I can stream locally using my external IP. Right now it's not possible for me to test it from an outside PC, but will do as soon as I can.

I have one problem though: I can only start the streaming from the "TVservice"-tab.
WHen I try to start streaming from the guide I get the following error:

Also, the quality of the streaming is not very good, but I guess this is a codec issue? This is starting to look very good.

[edit]Just played around a little. Using the preset "iPod"-streaming settings (cause I was trying to see if my iPhone would acces the http-stream - was a long shot, I know ) the quality looks much better already.

Fantastic Program, and its moving ahead in leaps and bounds!

I've noticed the web interface tv guide reports differently to the MP client guide when using advanced record options.

Using the MP client TV guide interface
select a recurring tv series then using advanced record option choose "record every time on this channel"
select an upcoming episode that is marked for record and choose "cancel this show"

The MP client TV guide will show all upcoming episodes marked for record except the cancelled episode.

The Web interface TV guide does not show any of the series marked for record

I am using MP RC2 1.0, Web Interface 0.6.0.2 and EPG Downloader 0.0.0.12
