Default 2 Quick Questions

I just have 2 questions that I have not been able to figure out yet.

1. I use PM3 for my skin, when I go to the My TV, then Search and it shows all shows by genre. Is there anyway to find out any info on the shows? I have pushed the more info button on my remote which normally displays info about the shows here but I get nothing. Is there just no way to find out anything about the shows this way?

2. I live in the USA so I use SchedulesDirect plugin for my tvguide. I would like to add the station callsign to my tv guide but cannot figure out how to do so.

Any input would be great. Thanks

I think I understand your first question correctly. If you click the toggle button in the search screen that says "Title", and then you go down to the "Starts With" button you can use the left and right arrow buttons on your remote to cycle through the alphabet. This will bring up all shows that start with a given letter. Now, if you go over to the list of shows that is now visible and select one of them, you'll get a list of airings of that show and as you scroll through the airings you'll see each ones description. Is that what you meant?

As for your second question; open up Mediaportal's Setup, go to plugins, scroll down to schedules direct and right-click/configure it. Click the "Advanced Options" tab and you should see a box at the top that allows you to choose "{number} {callsign}". Choose that and check the box below it that says "Rename existing channels..." and you should be good to go. You may also want to check the "Force guide update on next MediaPortal startup" box so that it goes ahead and renames them for you.

What I was kind of looking for one the first one was say i went to My Tv -> Search -> Genres -> Comedy -> Then I were to select the movie Analyze That, I was hoping that on the next screen when it would bring up the upcoming airings of it I could press more info and get the plot of the movie

as for the second one, i tried that but then it wouldnt download any epg, the log said it could not recognise any channels (or something to that extent) so the only way i could get it to work was by selecting map to channel number
