Country: | I have a custom tvguide.xml generated by TVxb with the correct channel names, if i want to associate one channel from the epg guide with the channel scanned by the MP engine, I only have two options: - Rename one by one the channel names from the tv guide - Rename one by one the channel names from the MP database Is there any way to do it more fast and easy like mce do with the epg? Something like webepg-conf.exe do but with the tvguide.xml |

The program basically downloads then scans your EPG data, picks out all of the Channel names, then reads your channel names from the MP database. It then provides a GUI to allow you to map them directly. Once mapped, you can save the configuration and use an automated download through Windows task scheduler. The program then writes the EPG data directly into the MediaPortal program database. If you send me a link for downloading your data, I may be able to help. Regards Kev

Country: | Hi Big_Kev, Your idea is great.. I hope data file I've attacched is right. Don't worry if you will not able to do the program, because I just solve my EPG problem by reconfiguring webEpg plugin. Mameo Last edited by mameo; 2007-06-16 at 13:50. |

Country: | Hi Mameo, You can download my App from http://home.people.net.au/~threebridges/downloads/tv/ directory Have a look at the "Custom" option on the EPG Data Source tab. Setup instructions are included in "Setup.pdf" file. Kev |

is it possible to pick up the tvguide.xml file from a local location? This will be very helpful cause I use XMLTV to generate it. I know I can install a local http server but... Roby

I have added the feature that you requested. If you download the latest version (0.1.1.9) you will see that there is now an entry on the "EPG Data Source" tab for getting data from an XML file. If you have loaded URLs into the Advanced EPG grid, you will have to take the following steps first. 1. Delete all URLs in the Advanced EPG grid 2. Click Save. 3. Restart the Application. To load from a file 1. Start Application 2. Select "EPG Data Source" page 3. Select the Radio Button next to "File" 4. Enter or browse for the file you want to use. 5. Go to the "Channel Setup" Page and click reset grid 6. Follow instructions in the PDF document that installed with the program for mapping and grouping channels etc. Regards Kev
